In einem dichten Programm – Solos, Duos, diverse Trios und Quartette sowie ein tägliches Orchester – stellen die Teilnehmer ihre vor Ort erarbeiteten Konzepte, Spielanleitungen und Kompositionen vor. Proben und Workshops sind öffentlich zugänglich, auch ein Vinylschneideservice ist im Angebot.

Matthew Dear (aka Audion) and Ryan Elliott have taken over Spectral's A&R duties, and while their influence has always been felt, their direct involvement in signings will only bolster the nine-year-old imprint's continuing evolution. Last month, Audion launched a new website (AUDION.ME) containing the new free song "I Am the Car," to much acclaim. The slow leak will continue as Audion releases a tantalizing new track each month. All of this is a prelude to Audion's upcoming full-length and his massive new live performances, which debut this summer.

Matthew Dear Readies Audion Release Series and Event Plans

"I Am The Car" for FREE

Now it’s 2009, and Audion is re-emerging with a new plan to take his project to new heights, including a load of new boundary-pushing material and a hypnotic, highly detailed live show.

As of March 4th, Spectral Sound kicks off a stunning series of monthly Audion releases, beginning with the ominous “I Am The Car.” To obtain the song, the user’s email will be entered into the Audion website (Audion.Me) which will also allow fans to interact with future contests and events. The monthly releases will be periodically compiled into special 12” vinyl singles for DJs. Slowly, an album will evolve and eventually be released. This special unfolding of Audion's new material will allow listeners to literally hear the development of the artist's new sound leading up to an album of new material to follow.

The Audion live experience has always been thrilling, with Dear creating new interpretations of his material on the fly. In his new live show, Dear goes even deeper into the Audion world, further differentiating it from his more song-oriented Matthew Dear material as well as from the herd of live-laptop performers cluttering the electronic-music scene. By fusing man and machine into an indistinguishable unit.
Audion’s live show will debut in summer 2009 at select technologically advanced festivals and clubs. These events are powerful experiments in chaos and hypnotic depth, tearing down the walls of the live electronic-music experience.
